Was looking at red raiders worklog and noticed that there is a revision 2 on the ek 780i northbridge block.. Notice the grinding on there.

I'm sorry, but if the first block shorts the motherboard, why wasn't it recalled? or at least warned on here.. ..

Now I'm wondering if my first board shorted because of I have rev1..

The directions state not to install nuts on locations nearest to the block (ie. the areas that are ground out)...

If you install the nuts on either revision, you are installing outside the manufacturers printed directions and could create problems...

I have an acrylic top earliy model, the bolts can come into contact with the block...

I don't have the instructions as I got the block 2nd hand. If it's not on the site, do you think you can upload em? pretty please :yepp::up:

nevermind, found em. .. I'm still mad. I hate revisions, especially when it comes to grounding. :slapass:

My apologies for not posting this info in the regular Liquid Cooling Forum... :shrugs:

I'll make a point to post my findings here and in my worklog...

Again, sorry for the late help...

Oh you have no reason to apologize!!! You pointed this out and I thank you and others for pointing out the mistakes of certain manufacturers ahem ahem.. Kidding Eddy, I still like your products :D

Yeah, Mine came with the original instructions. No mention of only using 2 studs. Sucked for me.

thats why im desperately wanting a bitspower block.

That was my design i had plan'd with iandh.
Only iandh couldnt pull the time to make one.

Bitspower seriously got major brownie points from me on that, and also the recall there doing.

Seriously full motherboard blocks, thats the name it should be given, FM blocks, are the ideal on high end boards flat out.

Naekuh, on the bitspower block, any idea if it's a hardmount or a torque down block.
