What about cpu temp being wrong? Or is the cpu temp in Aegis some kind of external temp and not an average of the core temps?

I had FSB 266x10 @1066Mhz CL5 in BIOS.

I only adjusted from FSB 266 to FSB 267 in Aegis Panel 1.0.2.14 and my screen froze immediately.
I did the same with Version 1.0.2.34. I went up to 290x10 @1163 Mhz and down to FSB 225x10. The screen froze @224x10. Yes, the new version works fine.
I guess that you can move inside a 66 Mhz FSB strap. Is that true?

I'm not sure about using Aegis to do extensive tweaking, personally i always restarted and changed settings in the bios itself. Might not matter, but if you're having problems using Aegis to change stuff you might want to try using the bios as normal instead.

Chopper, i have default 100mhz pci-e bus in bios and it shows as 100 in Aegis. Never had to change it so far (not sure what increasing it does tbh)

my old ati 550x vid card would work with pcie up to 140 or so it helped a lot in scores but got a better card now & it doesnt like much past 110 pcie .. but for normal overclocking 101 pcie is the norm all of the other versions of aegis panel has worked pretty goos for reading the bios correctly just saw last night that with this version 1.0.2.34 that slecting 101 pcie in bios and in windows the aegis panel says 81 ??? now no other aegis panel goes below 100 did have the .14 panel do this once in a while but it was after 140pcie slected in bios it would start counting down from 90 hahahhaa .. like 141 would be 90 ans 142 would be 89 ect.....

but any ways going below 100 isnt supposta happen .. but doing a 2006 mark test on 90 did yeild better score hahahahahahaa

shams tutorial's say to go to 101 pcie also ... not just him but by and large most ppl use 101 as the norm for ocing

cpu temps are still brutally wrong, well, atleast it shows a nb temp now (which the older version never did for me for some unknown reason).
Volts are pretty close to bio settings and clocks are spot on.

(yes, its true, I'm a blackops fanboy):cheer:

btw, will aegis panel continue to exist with x58 or will we get something with a bit more options? (one thing gigabyte got right is easytune, more options than any other windows oc software).

Hi there, are those your idle temps? If so, then it's RT that is way off and Aegis is spot on. That's how it was for me, too, RT was showing my cores about 5 degrees above Aegis and although it has idle calibration values after spending a good 2 or 3 hours trying to get that to sync with what Aegis was showing (which was correct) i just sent that program to the recycle bin!

nah, thats semi load temps (wcg running, prime small fft's pushes them higher), just ignore temp of core one it has a bad temp sensor, anyway, temps in the 40's for a oc'd quad on water is pretty normal and 32C is more like what I have immediately after booting.

I just got my Foxconn Destroyer and everything has been fine with the exception of this utility, i can not get it to start, i have downloaded this version which says it works with the Destroyer, yet whenever i try to start the program, i see it starting and it crashes, wondering if anyone else has this problem or if anyone could help? i have taken a picture to show that it just plainly crashes right when i start it

My system is as fallows:

Windows Vista Ultimate 64bit
AMD Athlon 6000+ @ 3.3Ghz
OCZ Titanium DDR2 800 (2x2) 4Gb
FSP Group 600W 4-rail PSU

well then ... uninstall & reinstall

try using REVO unstaller it's free and really works big time !
compared to the pos intel uninstaller which leaves a lot of stuff behind you would be suprized how bad intel uninstaller really is

I adjusted PCIe 101 Mhz in BIOS. Aegis Panel monitored 80 Mhz only. That is a bug. The tool SetFSB works correctly with the Foxconn Mars clock generator:
http://www.abload.de/img/1rnw.jpg (http://www.abload.de/image.php?img=1rnw.jpg)

I adjusted 124,8 Mhz in SetFSB and Aegis Panel had 100 Mhz only.

Aegis Panel doesnt clock PCIe properly!

Hehe for the mars it's not even so bad. On my blackops setfsb is showing 168 for pci and 56.1 for pci-e. they are at 100 and 33.6 in the bios. Gotta love the foxconn boards:D

But that Aegis Panel is good for adjusting the voltages and changes the FSB a bit - at least on the Mars.
The download link in Post #1 doesnt work. Shall we upload the version again?

hmmm i emailed the api engineer about this.
sorry guys...

It's true, when I select 100MHz for PCI-E in Aegis Panel, SetFSB shows me 125MHz
hmmm so the real pciE speed was 125Mhz? thats not good...
that would explain the nvidia vga issues some people here had...

i emailed the author of setfsb but got no reply...
if you can get int otuch with him and hook me up, then i can give him all he needs to add full support for the newer plls. not only the ones we use at foxconn btw, so it would be good for setfsb in general :)

@saaya:

im pretty sure...
most of these things are just bugs in the code...

this is what i need to file a complaint to the api engineer to fix a bug:
board (Mars)
bios (G30)
windows (xp sp2 32bit)
app version (1.2.2.22)
screenshot of the error

if you can give me those details that would be really great, so i can get aegis panel improved bit by bit :)
