I've had the D975XBX2 board for a while and I'm now selling it to someone else. Since I have a RAID card, I never used the secondary Marvel ports, and used the ICH7 ports for my SATA optical drives.
For the person that's getting this, I'm using all four of the primary ICH7 ports for a RAID-5 array and I wanted to use the secondary Marvell ports for a couple SATA optical drives.
Unfortunately, upon installing the Marvell drivers (I tried both the F6 drivers and the installer after formatting) and both of them cause the driver install to freeze in device manager and the system periodically freezes. If you reboot, the system refuses to boot Windows unless you disable the secondary SATA ports on this board.
I've seen a few other threads where people had this problem... is there any solution?
