Well, this is long overdue.

Also the Last WIP on this case and this board/platform.

I have renamed Persephone into Sakura.

Japanese Sakura means Cherry. I'll let you guys decide if my rig is a cherry or not.


Right now i finished tearing the system down, and its getting replanned.

Also to follow Iany's Dare, i am gonna limit my posts to 2 pictures per day.

All raptors. The 16meg are going in the system, the 8megs are going into another. I contemplated 8 raptors, however, after hearing people's advice, i wont notice a jack difference without a controller.

Controller to arrive next week hopefully.

Naekuh: you know that the bandwidth without controller is sort of limited to 180 mbps, and even worse for Nvidia SB.. Like 140 mbps. Its just terrible! I was reading up on the IOP348 on the 1680i. Great stuff!

Hey, does your backplane allow SAS cables for use with Sata drives?

Dho introduced the Addonics 2.5 backplanes to me for SSD/Sata/SAS. Takes only one Molex to power four drives! Can use either SATA or SAS cables. Costs only $65, and can be converted into eSata external use too. They also sell extra carriers so that you can warm swap drives in and out.

I have some system shots. The coolest thing i have is my koolance distribution system. I call it the perfect 90 with drain port.

Ran into a small leak with PEX fittings. :down:

Also need to warn you guys about the stopper that comes with koolance. The plug thingy offered on there brass module. Its alu and it corrodes.

Another interesting discovery.

Having 2 outlets at the bottom prevents vortex effect. :D

Oh i just reciently heard theres a new bios out to fix the HD4870X2, so those will get swaped out to that and an ARC-1680 controller once it gets here. I intend on slapping a MCW60 on the 1680ix as well :T

Also i need to flip my EK 180 degree's i think the injector head is very depenant, on orientation. And what makes things worse is it maybe a YMMV so you dont know what direction is correct until you mounted both ways. :\

3. Stress Testing and Vista Install.

1. Need to flip Supreme 180.
2. Add compression springs for it and remove hard mount.
3. remove martin's perfect U and go straight tubing.
4. Remove 1 dead raptor and submit to RMA. <-- yeah i lost one. :\
5. Cable management
6. More cable Management.

So another WIP goes up on Hime after i finish this one.

So martin's guess is probably correct. The way the injector plate was laser cut is the main driving force.

1 of my HD3870's offically died. Thats the last time im buying diamond cards. They were seriously a headache and major disappointment. The HD4807X2 i have is waiting a block. Dayam DD why you OOS.

No jumbos, except for the big timers, who don't need mortgages in the first place.

Most of the cars are shed already.. at least the leased ones and all those with options to purchase... lol...

Traveling light for now... three out of five bosses are already unceremoniously dumped out the door.. thankfully I don't have a super senior executive position. They didn't ask me to stay at work this weekend, so I guess I'm not part of the inner circle with the rescue plan rofl

I'm 60 miles inland so by the time the few hurricianes that do come up here they are fizzled out by the time they reach me.
We do get 'Noreasters" in the winter..
We had one week 5 years ago with over 100 inches of snow in 7 days.
That was the year I remembered that line about 'men over 40 shouldn't shovel snow" and I quit.. I had 12 ft tall embankments beside the driveway and got to the point I couldn't toss it over.
Had a guy with a 5 ton dump truck come in and clean it out for $100.00
Last year Texas got more snow than we did..

can you confirm that the whole space for the heat sink are 80mm yet...
im going to need a 1366 plate for the supreme as well.

when i actually have time at work (too many projects going on)
im going build a chiller, i get great prices.. :up: even though im just the graphics

there is no reason to cool the SB on this motherboard, I have almost exactly the same motherboard and my sb is barely warm with air cooling.
