Now the fun part of the game, and why this is in a DC Vault.

If you can help me solve this problem and you are a DC person.

I will volunteer my Q9450 for 1 month of production to any DC Project of your choice, on any account you want.

Cheers :toast:

PS: The Q9450 just got a new cooler, A noctua with a nice push pull, so atleast 3gHz shouldnt be too hard.

or if you want GPU folding I will volunteer my 9800GTX to fold...

Ahhh. I had presumed that you hade disabled all teh EIST etc. and that this was still hapenning. I had this issue with a real dodgy E6600 (My 1st) that was walled at about ~330FSB back in the day. Once I tried Rightmark in XP, it started to listen to the bios... or at least started to behave itself. (It still was walled but at least I could keep it at 9x)

On my lappy, I have to ENABLE Intel speedstep, or it'll always put the CPU in the lowest multi possible. I force it in high through Windows. Tried that?

Yup, Enabling Speedstep reads as though it would CAUSE the "Symptoms"

as I told Rip, It seems whoever wrote the little helper descriptions in the BIOS English wasnt their first language.

Anyway its fixed.. and XS is getting some love on POEM@Home per Rips Request.
