Thought I was post it here as it was in the news section.

Just gorgeous and beautiful rad grills for watercooling.

It looks good enough to use as a 24/7 case, only problem is the dust issue...
Fantastic bit of kit though! :yepp:

Thats the best part...the middle section is mostly alu, a little modification and you can have rads on all three sides. :D

Yes, I will be getting one as well.

Wow, I hope these will be available outside the US- or somewhere that ships internationally :).

Very nice but i wonder if the rods that hold the PCI-E cards won't interfere with the vga connector,

I can confirm that this is a great case we have had the V1 for about 4 months now and have been aiding in the design process.

We have agreed UK distribution rights and will also be shipping international as normal

Here's a pic of the V1 on demo at i34 last weekend :P

The screen is something we added so dont get excited :p::p:

don't think so; it's been posted in the news section, as it followed an announced approximate date of release for the first time, and guess what, it's a new product... :p:;)

Not as intricate but functional and a lot cheaper..

Looks nice for easy water cooling but I wouldn't use it for anything more extreme, it just looks too pretty. Looks to be more of a showcase than one you'd actually want to keep your machine in, but I'm sure it'll do that fine too.

As usual, it sucks to hold dollars these days. 200 Euros translates to 300 dollars, without cost of shipping. The pricing is in MM territory when all is said and done.

Is the upper fan holder strong enough to hold a MCR220 and fans ?

Kamel
08-18-2008, 07:34 AM
Don't suppose so... first of all it's designed for 92mm fan and then i don't think it's strong enough for a radiator weight!

Remember the VAT is different country by country.. so u cannot make a simple calculation like that. USA VAT is lower than italian... so i suppose u can count on a lower price.

IanY

The USA doesn't use VAT, at least at a national level. We have our own ways of soaking the consumer.

Right now, the exchange rates are grossly in favor of the Euro due to the weak dollar. It can't be helped.

Thanks for the info about the 92 mm upper fan holders. I didn't know that they're 92 mm holes.

Nothing prevent from ordering a custom 2x120 holder for the radiator

Interesting to see the two completely different responses to the two different threads. Original thread the unit gets dissed for being expensive and showey. Majority of reponses say a cardboard box would be better :ROTF:

This thread everyone thinks it's the Doggies Dangles. Hmmmm.

Lovely design and execution. Price seems fair to me.

True, some doesn't care about looks and just want the best performance, especially benchers. For me, I see it as a very useful piece for those who love to tinker with the computer a lot since it's fully open.

I will NOT post in this thread... or well ok I will but I will limit it to one post.

Glad in this thread there are better reactions on it, think it's a diffrent crowd to compared with general news. Still i find it to expensive, but as seen here there are people who will shell the money for it. Just as there are people who buy a Ferrari because it's a Ferrari and the fact that a tuned m3 is quicker doesn't matter to them. Power to them ( you )!

Ahh I love the comparisons of 'tuned' objects vs. Stock. Worthless really. Why don't we compare TUNED Ferrari vs. TUNED BMW. Oh wait, they do that 18 times a year, it's called FORMULA 1! And guess what? Since the inception of the sport Ferrari has ALWAYS owned BMW.

OK, rant off :/

I said before if I had won the lottery or otherwise had a high enough income I would buy it myself as the material choiche and looks are outstanding. Maybe it's not the product but my limited spending ability, though in the other thread allot of people seemed to agree it was on the expensive side.

Then again, I'm running a koolance pc2-720 so that maybe shows how Xtreme I am  I think the product definetly has a market, but it will be a niche market ( you Xtreme people! ).

I wouldn't mind reading the review when the first member get's their hand on one

The PCI "standoffs" look like they are destined to fail. Whether it's polycarbonate or acrylic (especially!), there will be cracking around the hole area from stress put on due to graphics card bending (especially from watercooling)...Thanks, but I'll pass. Looks like a superb case to boot.

I was thinking that too. I think the acrylic portion is just for fans, otherwise it would bend and most likely break
I believe the bottom part is only for rads.
