I think ive finally got 3.33ghz stable but my nb is at 1.53v and blend is pushing it to 59C (Aegis)... is this too hot? The fan has spun up to 7250rpm which is probably as high as it goes..

Dammit, bsod after an hour. That 'clock interrupt not received from secondary processor' is cpu related right? Ima up the vcore..

ouch, now i get an "uncorrectable hardware error" after 10mins. must be heat messing it up, spose i can't really push this hard until i get water :(

Man that's so hot! May lowering your NB voltage will do. Let's wait for saaya or someone knows how to solve your problem. :D

Wow, mine tops out at 46/47c on water with 1.7v~

I read that X48 gets unstable past 45c but mines has been near 50c on a hot day and no instability.

59c is way too high though!

that explains why i get crashes and lockups trying to get past 3.2ghz then, ill stop trying to push harder until i get h2o.

Negev- try FSB 416, 1.3 cpu vcore, 1.3 nb, thats what i use and i get 3.3 12hr prime stable , NB temp on water 30c idle but can get upto 35c when cpu is loaded. try your RAM on the 333-1-4 devider. On all higher FSB i get instability NO matter what volts i use but im happy with this for 24/7 operation. I actually think i got a bad chip this Q9450 is not that good an overclocker. I used to run my Q6600 3.6 no problem.

Already tried above those settings and got crashes and lockups, i think the nb is overheating. Not sure if ive tried the 333 divider though.. whats the difference between the 333 and the 400 ones, as they both seem to make the memory speed the same..

HI had the same problem

so i took the heatsink off and saw how little paste there was
so redid that and saw between the north heatsink there a plate, i looked at that and found less paste there

so redid that and now dropped the temp about 5deg
so am a lot happy

i did hear another person relapped the plate and heatpipe to improve it even more

so you may want to do that and see if that helps you as it did for me :)

ya going past 1.7 nb volts doesnt help fyi
and 50c is hot ... nb starts loosing it after that

Just don't get above 60c as they say. ;) But if it's 59c an idle, that a problem!

at 3.2ghz mine idles at 40 and peaks at 50, that'll do until i get water.. somehow i thought the 40mm fan would let me get higher with this board though.

Also do check if air is ventilating well within case, if hot case ambient then hot NB, so even CPU, a hotter running CPU transmit more heat to PCB and spills to NB.
