G5 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826104076) or DEATHADDER (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826153024)

needing a good headset for gaming around $30. must be from newegg or retailer in america. a circumarual headset.

im thinking probably a KOSS KB45 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826263010) or a STEELSERIES 4H (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826249024) on newegg. what do you think?

i would get a a 5.1 headset but i used my money on other things so my headsets gonna have to be budget =/

I'm going to grab a Logitech G5 for gaming to replace my gaming MX518 soon, its comfortable to use, never tried the Razor mice, but they sure don't look so ergonomic.

those headphones would go on my ear not around it o.o

and the steelseries 4h has low bass which makes me rethink or i would of went for it already.

and how does a good headset compare with a 5.1 headset?

I've tried the Zalman 5.1 headset and the Medusa 5.1's came to the conclusion that 5.1 is a gimmick for headphones, the Medusa's were more comfortable, but break at the ear piece joint very easily, went through two of them, the all important Bass seems to suffer on both of them with their multiple little speakers in each can.

Currently using a Sennheiser PC 151 headset (as in the link above) very very good, but the earpieces don't quite cover my ears but are still quite comfortable, and the mic in online games is apparently good enough for clear communication according to others. Going to buy the Sennheiser PC 350 headset next, this should cover my ears completely as well as providing even better sound (I hope) and be more comfortable by enclosing my ears and blocking out background sound while in games or music.

Or if you don't need a mic and want sheer quality sound and are prepared to splash out, I'd buy these that are also from Sennheiser ...

One of the things that I like about Sennheiser apart from the quality of sound is the quality of construction, one of the number one killers of all the headphones and headsets I've used over the years has been accidentally running over the wires with my computer chair, even though the cables from the Senn's does not seem that thick, its very robust ... those last ones have Kevlar woven wire insulation, never a broken wire with their PC 151 headset in over 2 years of use ... and that has to be a record amount of time for me owning a headset or headphones.

I would put my vote in for the G5 it just fits my hand so perfectly, plus it has enough grip that your hand doesn't slide off. I don't mess with the weights other than making it as heavy as possible. With the newer G5 they inserted an additional button for forward and back while browsing the internet which is extremely convenient.

+1 for the G5

I also have the newer blue version and it is fantastic. Being able to instantly switch sensitivity helps in gaming.

i think im gonna go with g5.... i always liked g5 over the deathadder. it was just when i found out about grips types that the g5 wasnt mine i had 2nd thoughts. but later i saw that the review i read about grips is wrong lulz

ive tried the g5 and deathadder before but not in a real tryout. when i tired the g5, it wasnt mine so i couldnt tweak it and i only used it for few mins. and for the da, i was still using my old pc which has xp so the firmware or drivers wouldnt load so the cursor was real laggy.

all that is left is headset.... koss kb45 [not known] or steelseries 4h [low bass] or sheenheiser pc 151 [small headphone]

DeathAdder is better than G5 by far in performance and features...

For the headset 4H

Gaming mouse is such a personal thing, any advice is not good here) You should choose a mouse, which will fit your hand. I don't like laser mice because i play with low sens and without acceleration.

SIR YES SIR. even though people say g5 isnt my grip.... i like the rough surface for grip over the rubbery/slippery deathadder
