well i was going to mess around with my 3870 and well i go and install ati tool after in install it and try to run it i get this error msg, The Kernel mode driver does not seem to be running. a device driver is required for communication with your video hardware. if you just upgraded from and older version it may help to uninstall atitool, reboot, then install the new version.
ok well i did all that and i still get the same error.
for the past 2 nights when i get on to game i get reallly laggy and my ping shoots up. i went in to reinstall my ati drivers, so uninstall and then reinstall them, well i went o go uninstall and there were no drivers. well i installed the drivers and then went to see if i had anything and there were still no drivers.
went and dld trojan remover just to see if i had anything and sure enough i had somthing. I got rid of it and re installed everything and im still getting the same error for ati tool as i was before.
any ideas? im running vista so is there a ati tool just for vista?
