Anyone know if 2 x 4870 plus an X-fi card will fit in the blackops? not sure if there would be room for the x-fi between the two video cards..

bottom pci-e slot is open, as is pci slot between vgas. I've got 3870x2, phys-X, 3870x2, Xonar D2X, but top card has been made singleslot(watercooled, backplate trimmed, phys-X wouldn't fit with ramblocks on bottom card).

Hi,

Yes you can do this.

This is my setup:

Foxconn Blackops

2x HD 4870 in CF

X-FI Fatal1ty Platinum.

All fitting on the board :)

It's a little tight but it fits.

Are you sure you have the Blackops? That board doesn't have any PCI-X slots, only PCI and PCI-E. I think you're probably getting PCI-X confused with PCI-E.

are you actually using the extra usb slots on the back of the case?
or did you just mount that thing for the heck of having everything installed that can be installed? :D
i used to always scre that thing in to have extra usb ports and firewire, but then relaized i never actually use it, so i stopped doing it
i think i had a pile of 8 of those things in the end and wondered how many people actually used them :D

That's not usb, it's a COM port adapter :) I use the com port for my remote controlled entertainment system.

I have 3 x 1TB drives full of tv, movies and music, and i press a button on the remote and it pops up a menu where i can select what to watch. It uses VLC for video and Winamp for music, and the remote buttons control vlc and winamp (stop/start/forward/pause/aspect ratio etc). Took aaaaaages to program but its very impressive when people visit :D
