Some of you know my old V2k project which took too much time and $$, with constant changes, and once I hobbled it together since I needed my desktop I realized another thing, it's quite heavy and bulky. I'm a student who travels back and forth from school and I Lan with some friends often and having a machine that is this large and heavy was just to much, and since I'm waiting until Nehalem matures a bit before my next major upgrade my system needed no where near as much cooling as my V2k offered. So I decided to go for a more conventional slightly smaller setup. I'll be selling most parts used for the V2k mod, the case will be hardest to sell, so if it doesn't I'll just keep it for a future project.

The Green represents the blocks, blue represents radiators, red is the tubing. Yellow is for the fillport I'm not sure which way I should orient it front or back.

Now the Goods, the WC parts

I am technically downgrading from 2x MCR320's but with this light heatload it shouldn't overpower the new setup, which is 1xMCR220 and a BI GTX II, look how thick that thing is!!! it's also got double fins stacked vertically compared to most radiators I've seen which have only 1 set of fins between each pair of tubes.

What's going to be blowing air through these you ask? why none other than these beauties!!

I was going to use BP compression fittings, but the Koolance compression fittings at nearly half the price, and sorta gunmetal nickel plated brass was just too good to pass up.

Pump mounting (no need to drill any extra holes (yay)

http://www.arclitesystems.com/upload/Loels%20Pics/TJ09%20project/Entry%201/_MG_7436.JPG

I used my drill press ($40 harbor freight xD) and drilled 2 holes in the back for the BI GTX, and man was it tight clearance for that 2nd hole

http://www.arclitesystems.com/upload/Loels%20Pics/TJ09%20project/Entry%201/_MG_7437.JPG

You can see how my unibit just scraped the PCI slots
http://www.arclitesystems.com/upload/Loels%20Pics/TJ09%20project/Entry%201/_MG_7439.JPG

I may have to drill and cut into the PCI slots a tiny bit, because the compression nut won't fit perfectly otherwise and I don't want just 1 regular barb amongst all compression barbs.

http://www.arclitesystems.com/upload/Loels%20Pics/TJ09%20project/Entry%201/_MG_7445.JPG

With the San Ace mounted, this is as much as I did last night. I'll update again tonight when I do more work on it.

http://www.arclitesystems.com/upload/Loels%20Pics/TJ09%20project/Entry%201/_MG_7449.JPG

-Should I use a regular barb for the BI GTX or drill and cut out the PCI area just a tiny bit to make the compression barb fit?

I'd say go with only compressors. That sure is an interesting place for the fillport in that loop :P Is that lowest left red "tubing" in the paint plan layout a drainline?

Yep that is the drain line. I'm still undecided on the fillport positioning, I will do a mockup when I get the chance

The San Aces I've used before and regrettably sold when I needed cash, but when I did use them everything else paled before them!!

Sry for so few updates, but the build is pretty much done but I do still need to work on wiring fan control and lights. Been busy with the start of school and all. A

Anyways here you go

enzotech heatsinks to cool some of the hot pwms on the mobo

http://www.arclitesystems.com/upload/Loels%20Pics/TJ09%20project/Entry%201/_MG_7454.JPG

chipset block because the stock cooler interferes and having this helps with tubing

http://www.arclitesystems.com/upload/Loels%20Pics/TJ09%20project/Entry%201/_MG_7459.JPG

Close up shot of the GTX, it may not be the best block but it get's the job done and it looks nice hehe

How the San Ace fans fit in the top

http://www.arclitesystems.com/upload/Loels%20Pics/TJ09%20project/Entry%201/_MG_7473.JPG

The top of the TJ09 isn't designed for the MCR220 radiators and I think 25mm fans would interfere with the mobo tray brace but the 38mm san ace fit snugly and don't interfere with anything.

The san ace were used in servers so they have this proprietary connectors, so I have to switch them out for 3 pin connectors

I was gonna use this 45 degree elbow for the fillport or drain port but ended up nothing using it, it is incredibly restrictive.

yep a big fat BI GTX gen2, the 54mm thick one. It's my first HWlabs rad since I had a few old BIP's about 2 years ago, and the build quality of this thing is immaculate, and the first time I've seen 2 rows of fins between the tubes.

For a fillport/drain port, I don't think you need to worry about restrictive-ness;) Unless you're REALLY in a hurry.
