Yeah hwbot is awesome! So do I uderstand correctly I can just sign up with you guys as a team then? I'm already registered but would obviously prefer to be part of the team of the best overclockers website around! :)

EDIT: Considering the earlier responses in this thread, I decided it should be okay if I joined before awaiting an answer, hope nobody minds!

Hmmmm maybe a return to action after my 9 year hiatus? I'll think about it.

I think we could use a hand, I managed to come out of retirement as well.

I should have the rest of the 720 BE's #1 spots all wrapped up in a few weeks just waiting on a custom pot ;)

Someone needs to tackle 940BE as mine is a tad weak....I will give it a shot though.

Also have some other stuff planned but don't want to get to far ahead of myself..

At this point in time its not in my best interest to be posting intel scores nor do I have time to, my plates full....

That's the spirit!

I might be able to have my first session in a month or two, waiting for my pot and some other things, but I already got most of the hardware needed for some 2D-action with Commando + E8400.

By the way chew*, you need a new background for your hwbot sig! :)

@GeorgeStorm: I understand your reasons to go back to a national team, and it was not directly targeted at you, there have been some other long-term members who left us without a notice like marcolecorse or cadaveca.

GeorgeStorm

I wasnt saying you were directing it at me, merely saying why I left.
I mean, I almost didnt, as I learnt so much here.
But, it was partly due to the fact that I would be more likely to meet other members of a UK team, than this, mainly based int he US.

I posted my 3d result only, since intel seeds cherries that people use for 3d whether people using them want to admit it or not, its rather obvious.........I feel its fair game.....

I inspected Sf3d's pifast score.....my retail chip is prety darn good.....I think I will tackle his pifast with my retail....so No I won't be posting the 2d scores on the bot.

I am the proud new owner of the prototype, almost time to make the donuts ;)

My results will get posted wednesday I imagine once my hardware arrives and I can acess my hard drives......I honestly only looked at the bot scores smashed them and called it a day, I benched 3d higher than I benched 2d to give you an idea ;) I could have pushed alot harder but with no intentions of submitting results it wasn't necessary.

Don_Dan

I just saw the result on hwbot!

That you aren't posting your 2D results is very honourable of you, not everyone would have acted that way in your position!

For 3D I totally agree with you, show us what these CPUs can do in 06 and 05 and give Intel some competition.

From what Vince and you posted the new pot looks very impressive, I'm looking forward to see more of your results on "retail" CPUs! ;)

Ok I just joined, I am not a great overclocker by any means but I am getting into it more and have not ever had to post Screenshots other than Bios which I did with a camera. But I do not know how to do a screenshot without a camera, on wow it was the print screen button and you would find it in the wow files, but I am clueless as to where I would find a normal SS if the print screen does the same thing in windows.
Sorry for my ignorance please forgive.

There are a few ways to do screen shots. Personally, I usually use a program called MWSnap http://www.mirekw.com/winfreeware/mwsnap.html It makes it quite easy and give plenty of options.

It can also be done by just hitting print screen and then opening Paint and hitting paste then you can just save the file.
Hope that helps.

Thanks, I have a Q9550 right now but I can't OC much past 3.8 due to mobo issues. the PWM temps skyrocket way before the cpu breaks into a sweat. This chip rocks stays below 50c with a $20 cooler at full load. Too bad I won't ever get to see it's top end. I am getting a I7 920 through the retail edge program and just bought a Bloodrage mobo with some OCZ plats. I just hope I get an amazingly cool chip.

thanks I will keep that in mind.
I have bigger problems atm though, CPU-Z is not reporting the cpu right saying it is a 8.0 multi and not the 8.5, this is probably either a Vista thing or because of my mobo. Plus on Super PI it will only run one core and will not let me switch it to 4 cores, Wprime only noticed 1 core but it gave me the option to change to 4.

Did you enable half multis ( N/2 or what it's called for your mobo manufacturer ) in the BIOS?

Also SPi is a single-threaded app and will only use one core, but assigning it to a certain core will make it run slightly faster.
WPrime you already figured out! ;)

In the BIOS it is set at a half multi (8.5) and real temp reads the mhz correctly it is Just CPU-Z, also the bios has an issue of it not reading the chip 100% correctly, for the temps it always reads 103c. This board is an Abit IX38 QuadGT and as you all know they pulled the plug and I have no support, this is why I have moved to I7 setup. I am just waiting for my I7 to show up, already have a Bloodrage and OCZ plats here.

This chip apparently doesnt like running just one core, on the 32m test it will freeze the comp about half way through, even though it is 24hour prime stable on all cores

Really nice to see all the new guys putting up points for xs  There aren't too many people that are going to put up big numbers, wr, etc, but I believe everyone can contribute something and that's what really counts. Reminds me of the big push we had last year with everyone pitching in. A ton of people added what they could and the team moved very quickly all the way up to fourth place.

It wouldn't be hardware sharing if only one of you posted the score, but since you made the scores even I as a teammate don't think that it would be fair if someone else posts them on hwbot. If the other member was there when you benched, or even benched your hardware it would be okay in my opinion, as long as you don't post scores to hwbot yourself.

Actually the other team member would be doing his own benching on the chip, totally seperate bench session totally sep results......and only 1 set of results would be submitted for that chip.......

Is that for the very same score or ?
Why don't you share...sooner or later we will see what happened out there : )

????

My chip is already halfway across the country being shared already.

Fyi I was gonna send it to KP next to rack up some points for XS ;) and trash my results, considering my results aren't on the bot anyway.......

That's okay, and even sharing it for 3D is allowed, so you and Vince could both post scores, which would be quite interesting in case you use ATI and Vince nVidia cards.

Thanks and i can see really nice runs for 3Dmark there !

Btw i've managed to do some vantage runs on my notebook [ also on win7, hd2600] but i had similar problem with resolution like you've did. Hope external monitor will solve the issue.

Figured I would go ahead and join since I have been benching lately. I will run some new benches this next week on my days off to start collecting points.

I may have to mod my board to get past 4.6Ghz or go back to the Classified since there doesn't seem to be any 960's around. Cannot wait till my dayoff this next week. All ready rebuilt my setup with W7, now I just need to download the rest of the benchmarks. I do have a question, I updated my ATI drivers to 9.10 yesterday and Futuremarks states they are not valid, will I still be able to submit my scores to HWBot?
