I got a friend who is interested in buying my hard drive if I can install it in his x-box.... Anyone have a link to guides on how to go about this?

can you just use a DVD drive in the Xbox or is there a special kind of drive that you need? cause i have a problem with it saying that it cant read the disc but its a brand new disc so that cant be the prob. i think that it is either the laser or the disc reader, cause if you do happen to get it into game it will freeze up and not read anymore. so if i could get some info on the type of drive this would be great.

No I don't think you can. It uses a propietary reading mechanism I believe.
