View Full Version : What can I expect?
Hi All, first post here!
IĀ“m planning to get an unlocked XP1800, but I am also very pleased with my 1.4 T-bird doing 1800Mhz (9x200FSB). The question is how faster at the same clock the XP is? What can I expect from the XP?
HereĀ“s some specs:
Mobo: ABIT KX7333-RAID v1.1 (Pin7 and 10 Vcore mod. and Vmem mod.)
CPU: T-bird 1.4 266
Vcore: 2.26
DDR: 3.1
CPU idle temps: 2c
CPU full load temps: 9c

You have a great OC right now!:toast:
I heard that the XP 1800s were not that good as far as OCing goes.
The XP1600 is the hottest OCer right now($72 and FREE shipping)
Some people are getting more than an additional 500MHz from it.
Good Luck!
Welcome to the Xtreme!
Thanx m8, was a very hard work to get this birdy there :D
I'm trading my T-bird with a friend, so I can't choose.

The SSE as well as the data prefetch gives a good performance boost. I definitely noticed the difference going to a new system, but I never just swapped CPUs to see how much faster it seemed.

1800+ procs are pretty decent. I can tell you that yes, you should be able to get higher, but I dunno. All procs are different.
Hi all,
I tried the XP1800 and I barely reach 1900Mhz. So I sold this chip and bought a XP1600 thatĀ“s doing a nice 2GHz!!

What cooling do u use for the Tbird?
Thanx deerhunter, ThatĀ“s just the first run tests, I hope it will go a bit higher after burn-in.
Hi AndrOvr,
IĀ“m using a water-chiller, but ItĀ“s not a T-bird ItĀ“s a XP1600 (1400Mhz) pics here:
