View Full Version : Leadtek RMA: Experiences?

I had an 8800gt by leadtek that died after 2 weeks worth of folding (so I guess a week, 12 hrs a day).

Any experiences RMA'ing to them? Newegg is out of this card and they have removed it from the site.

I have some experience with them, RMA.
but that was in the time of the 6800GT AGP8x cards.
RMA of that card took 5-(!)-Months and email response was very bad.
(+/- 1 week or more for a reaction).

After 4 months of use, the card died again, not died completely but got LOT'S of artifacts.
This RMA did go a little bit faster after i complained a lot, but it still took 3 Months to get a new one in house. again, replays where very slow.

The card itself was pretty decent, but the support was crap in those times.
Dont know if it is still that way.

So, because the experience is from 2005/2006, i don't know if it is still valuable or that they improved their services.

Thanks for the info.

Unless someone who's RMA'd more recently comes forward.... I'll just RMA w/ newegg and get a refund or something.
