The Half Life 2: Episode 1/2 music is pretty good. Insipres a sense of danger when the combat gets intense.

Oh man, halo soundtrack, that's some epic stuff right there. Martin O'donnell done a good job. Seriously who can listen to this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QaE0HHN4c30&feature=PlayList&p=9B23A78D3D249A74&index=103) and not get all nostalgic and stuff! Though admitedly he did drop the ball a little with halo 2, but halo 3 has some memorable stuff, i love this one (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r3zD7gIBNH0). That should be a contender for this poll, along with Metroid series, Final Fantasy, Zelda, Secret of Mana, Jet force Gemini, Tales series, TES VI: Oblivion, Donkey Kong Country, Conker's Bad Fur Day :D Hmm probably many more too..

I'll take Mega Man X of those two choices. BTW, does anyone have Mega Man X3? It's the only one I haven't played.

As far as all time... Halo was good, there is no denying that. As much as I hate all the fanboyism that surrounds that series, they are fantastic games. Legend of Zelda has always had wicked soundtracks, with Ocarina of Time being the pinacle in that regard. Hmmm.. Hitman is very good. Tetris has another classic soundtrack.
