Just had a look at cpu-z to check what version I have and noticed my 3.3 ghz Allendale has seemingly reset itself to stock

What could cause this..........motherboard had a near death experience or something?

Board is a rev 1 Gigabyte Ds3.

Grrr, set it so long ago it'll take me ages to get my clocks etc reset correctly

I suspect the battery too.

Just played in bios and noticed cpu host control had disabled itself

Will replace battery asap.

Back to 475 x 7 atm
Hope she behaves whilst I'm at work.

3.3 ghz on an allendale? Sounds like a OC problem. Are you sure it didnt just have a boot hiccup because of high OC and simply rebooted at stock bios settings. My DS3 would do that to me once in a while. I was running my E4300 at 3.0Ghz 334x9 and ddr888 44412 +2vmem +1mch and +1 something else I forget. Ran stable all day. Couold run prime or orthos 3dMark anything for days without a single error. But every once in a while it would reboot back to default settings.

Been 475 x 7 for a year or more crunching 24/7 so.
Oh well, if she pukes I'll save remaining parts for a quad build.
