is there a laptop in existence that takes 2 HDDs without a ridiculous hi-end GPU?

I know 2x HDD laptops exist - but iirc, they all have hi-end GPUs etc (read: DTR )

TIA! :toast:

Well of course, HOWEVER you may have to give up your optical drive and use an HD tray replacement.
Is that an option for you?

Any ibm/lenovo laptop has the option of hotswapping the optical drive with a sata/ide cage. Actually the optical drive in those can be removed with a single click of a button and you can install an extra battery OR harddrive in its place.

If you are considering a lenovo, let me know. I just recently got one from them and I could answer questions (PM) you might have. I love my lenovo!

The only everex laptops i have seen were very poor build quality using cheap plastic. The only dual hard drive laptops I've seen were 17" toshibas and HP.

I have a Sony Vaio BX670P that uses 2 100GB HDD's in RAID 0. Currently running XP Pro on one HDD and Mandriva 2008.1 PP on the other.
It also has a T7600 2.33Ghz C2D.
