...I hope so anyways! Pacific Grove has this "Feast of Lanterns," a gimmicky little festival thing for the tourists, and they set off some fireworks at the end. Stupid me, I forgot my tripod... so I thought I'd experiment!

All of them done with the Canon 20D and the EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6. What do you think?

You can if you can manually set the shutter to like 30 second long exposures... just set a really long exposure and wave your camera around while the fireworks are going off.;)

bingo, try it at home with a light source or something, you can find pick of people with laser lights or glow sticks and such, as long as the person stays as still as possible near the end when the hutter closes you get the solid image with the lights all over.
