why is there 2 internet connections with my nforce 2? what do they do and what is the second non active one that I can't disable for? is this the cause of my 1000 ping in ravensheild?

You probably have the deluxe eddition of some nforce 2 board. Honestly I dont know what the 2nd non active is for (or you could elaborate). I would highly doubt that it is your problem for the 1k ping on ravenshield. What ping do you have with other games.

But from my expirience ravenshield had a buggy netcode.

Is it two internet connections or two network connections? Some nf2 boards have two network chip on them, check the back of your comp to see how many header do you have

firewire, or you might have another nic pci card in your comp.

hehe

there are to for many reason, wan/lan, 2 domains/ workes groups, tons of reasons

OF COURSE you cna disable one. either from network conections win 2k/xp, or even device manager, and no, this wouldnt effect your ping in anyways whatso ever if one was enabled and not plugged in
