I'm OCing my Q6600 with P5K-Premium

the ram is Mushkin Redline 8000 2x2GB

I have got 1.232v 400x8=3,2G Prime Stable,

but when it meets 400x9 @ 3.6

I always got blue screen even with 1.4V

is it becaus of the ram or the CPU?

I'm using Xigmatek HDT-S1283 and Noctua NF-S12-1200

the temp is around 80 when it's 3.6G:shrug:

Lower Vid CPU's usually go higher in temps... If ya want 3.6 it's time to upgrade the cooler... or verify ya heatsink or heatspreader... 68°C on the cores for 3.2 is pretty hot... think you need to work on the heatissue first and then maybe you can go lower than 1.4 at 3.6Ghz

Overclocking my e8400 now and I found a setting at 370 FSB where I have the CPU passing OCCT and the memory passing memtest86 yet I crash every so often.

I then upped my North Bridge voltage and my whole system feels like it's getting the full clock increase now. I have a DFI board and I just up it two notches, so not much was needed to really feel a difference. Just feels a lot more smooth, like the reaction time has been improved a lot. It's more stable now.
