Your pump orientation is not a great idea. It needs to be below the reservoir to deliver water to your pump. Plus your aiming the pump the wrong way as well and should never be trying to suck water into the inlet which you got aiming straight down. Just a heads up before you burn out your pump trying to fill the system.

Agreed, why not mount the resevoir where you have the pump now, and the pump roughly in the area you have the res?

good idea i hadn't thought of that

Looks good, You should shorten the tube on the pump though or put the res where you had the pump.

see you redid the res, Can I ask why you didn't just buy a res?

cdawall

i did buy a res check the pic there is a swiftec micro res in the background to the left i just wanted sometihng bigger and that 500mL and cost $2.81 with tax

can't shorten the tube because it kinks i alread tried that however with the res full it flows just fine

BTW, pumps like having the res right before the intake. That way there's always a supply of water... You've got the res attached to the outlet. Not the best config.. Just swap the inlet and outlet of the pump. You can rotate the pump so that the inlet is looking straight up. and the oulet is pointing directly at the rad. That will also help you get air out of the loop, and out of the cpu block.

So, your looking at

Res->Pump->Rad->CPU->Res

Again, just swap the inlet and outlet of the pump. and your system will be much better. Your loosing all kinds of pressure trying to force water through the res to get to the cpu.

Looking good. I'm sad to see that ghetto res go :(

tap the outlet at the bottom of the res and place the pump just bellow it.
It will look and work much better. That tubing curve is not looking good.

pump to that ghetto res to cpu?? whaaa....

i agree with others that the order is counter intuitive, but at least you diy the res. most people just buy all their stuff toss it in a rig and call it worklog. making your own stuff is how pc's get personalized

Thats how you learn, thru the error.Anyways nice start and im always fond to builds that is more ugly than pretty. Its so brutal.

its good start, but try to change "reservoir" with a true reservoir, this is a fake, make a profi job.

ok i looked at the stuff what a stupid mistake i just wasn't thinking when i connected the pump and did it backwards easy fix though

it was going to have a heatercore in it but i couldn't find a easy way to sway the 3/4 fitting to a 1/2 so i could get some tubing on it. but its measured and ready to swap in as soon as i sweat a proper fitting onto it

what difference will having a "true" res make its a 500mL res jus like the ones you buy made of the same stuff as everyother res why spend $50 on something that cost $6 and 20min to make?

Yeah.. those "ghetto" res work wonders.
http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/images/products/MC-AGB400_01.jpg = $45
or http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l294/freaksavior/_MG_0062.jpg = $6

Does not look good, try to solve that tight curves on your tube. Congrats for your efforts.

which one were it goes out of the pump? cause there is no way to fix that without relocating the pump

mike8913

then relocate the pump. its just . . . messy, but i like your handywork.

put up side down at the top of the case.

NaeKuh

im sure someone told you.

But the PUMP MUST NEVER HAVE INLET POINTED DOWN like how you do in the pictures.

You will get an AIR Bubble stuck up in the impeller and that will make you very sad when your motor burns out and dies.

i got told several times that i couldn't mount my pump at the top of the case because it would cause issues for the pump

its fine now though right?

you can mount the pump at the top of the case just fine as long as the inlet has gravity working for it, not against it.

cdawall

ok so your compaint with my loop is its to much of a curve out of the pump but you want me to move the pump to the top of the case were everyone else has told me not to put it

NaeKuh

the inlet is facing down.

Your pump location has no issues with it. The reason why people say at the bottom is to reduce your chances of the pump being run with a bubble.

Remember bubbles is your worst enemy expecially on pumps.

The fact is that the inlet must be pointed in another direction other then down.
