Aegis Panel update for MARS

Hey guys,

As requested in the suggestion box section, here is an update for MARS aegis panel, it should now read CPU clockspeed, Multiplier and FSB correctly, you can read all voltages that can be read, and it should allow better fanspeed adjustments :)

Just replace the original INI file in the aegis application folder with this one:

Please let me know if something doesnt work like it should and give me as many details as possible so we can get it fixed.

just checked with the application engineer and it works fine here...
also with vista sp1...
did you install the latest version of aegis panel?

he said this error usually shows up when aegis panel cant find one of the ini files or they are corrupt. Are you sure you copied the new file i posted here into the aegis panel folder and overwrote the original one?
vista SOMETIMES creates a backup of the original file, it shows up in the direction bar in windows explorer, you should delete this backup file just to be sure... it worked fine for us even when we didnt delete it, but to be safe the new ini file is used delete the backup. Vista is really a pita to work with from the point of view of an application engineer cause it doesnt allways follow the same path and is not that predictable :/

and as you can see multipliers and fsb and cpu clockspeed are read correctly now :)


the only thing thats missing is a multiplier option which our engineer didnt have time to implement, its a bit more tricky than the other stuff.
you should be able to use crystal cpuid to change multipliers tho, so if you want to change the multplier in windows you can use that tool until we added the feature in aegis panel :)

Yes and copied and overwrote it but that didn't seems to work. I'll try to delete the original and replace the new aegis.

And i forgot to install the latest version of aegis. My bad. :)

just skip the part about registering your motherboard and you should be able to register, and then you can dl right away, no need to active the account with an email or anything :D

Anyway, same error again. The pictures attached by saaya, his Aegis Panel version is 2.32 and not the same as i have or we have which is 2.15.

Is that latest version in the site available? I can't find that version in the website.

Anyway, i'll try all aegis version and which one will eventually work. :)

Yah, it seems to be, but look closely, the aegis panel which saaya attached is same as the aegis panel in mars. Maybe it's the latest and not yet available for public download. Hehe! Am i weird or what? :p:

meh... ill ask the application engineer to compile a new installer and that should work.

and yes, we used 2.32 which is the latest version of aegis panel.
it says it adds support for blackops dreadnought etc, but actually it works with mars as well.

oh and about the website... to make it not sound harsh: the quantum force website maintenance and webmaster position is open again :D
so in future things should work better, but for now things might slow down a bit.
i can access the site fine with firefox 2, just lmk what files you want anytime and ill host them somewhere and post the link here until we have a new website sorted or the current one fixed/improved :)

im having problems with 2.32 version... i installed it and restarted my computer and run it for the first time it works.. but after shutting down and restarting the pc another time the aegis panel wont run.. im on vista 32bit.. no problems with 2.15 but that version doesnt work with the new ini file...

doesnt work with 2.15 or 2.32
and 2.32 doesnt work with MARS with the patch or without
using G28 & G26 (didnt work with either)
win xp home sp2 32bit & win xp pro sp2 32bit (use both on different drives):D

did you install to the default folder or a custom selected folder?
can you try to uninstall aegis panel, reboot and then install the new one?
can you clean the registry in case even that doesnt help? :(

and ya will use a reg cleaner too
also eye have used revo uninstaller it's a good 1 that doesnt leave anything behind
