Well, did you try a "bare rebuild"? i.e. reset you CMOS, connect only your video card and a single stick of RAM (no optical drives, HDD's or other peripherals) and see if it boots to BIOS?

Try unplugging PSU, wait for a few minutes for capacitors to discharge, remove battery, wait a few more minutes, and try rebuilding. Also, reseat the CPU.

I am really sorry about that, mentes; but this happens to all of us sometimes :(. But cheer up mate, you are surely under warranty/RMA time! :)

Do have a motherboard to test your CPU? You can try to isolate which part is faulty.

can it be because of the jumper configuration of the motherboard? because I have 4gb pc3 10666 ram to install on asus p5e3 motherboard

thanks

Well, it is unlikely that you would have to clear RAM timings as you have not tried to change it.

What brand of RAM do you have? What is the configuration (2x2 GB, 4x1 GB etc.)?

If you using only one stick (for testing), use the second slot from CPU (should be black).

You can change it only after you boot into BIOS, but did you try booting with single stick in the second slot?

Try booting up with the INSERT (Ins) key on your keyboard being held down before you press the power button.

Also plug in the system speaker so that you may know if the motherboard is beeping an error code. If it's not beeping anything, and you know that your CPU, RAM, video card, and speaker are working properly (by testing them on another computer), then you have yourself a dead motherboard.
