Issue transfering large files

I'm having an issue with my computer and my powershot S3. I had a 1GB video on the camera, but whenever I tried to take it off the camera, it would actually copy it. It would just place a file on my desktop with the filename, but the file size was 0 bytes. I'm running Windows XP, and using USB2.0. My friends computer with vista transferred the file without a hitch.

I had to resort to using the cameras built in editing features and split the video into two parts to get it off.

Going into my computer, double clicking the camera as it shows up when i plug it in, and then drag and dropping the video file to desktop. Doesn't matter if I right click and hit copy, it still hangs.

Try the Canon Zoombrowser EX with Camerawindow and see if it still does it.
