hello,

i'm running two hdds on nvraid. Is it possible to move to Intel ICH10 with the same setup (raid-o) without losing any data

if not? what's the solution since i've no a backup device?

No. The markers on the disk that define the RAID are different for different chipsets/controllers and for obvious reasons they don't bother about providing any compatability.

You can transfer RAID sets between ICHxR chipsets without problems, but ICHxR to NVRAID is a no-go. You will have to transfer all the data to a third single disk or RAID set large enough to hold it, then transfer the RAID disks to the new machine, format and build a new RAID, then transfer the data/image onto that. Hopefully you can borrow a third disk, or buy one. Spare disk capacity is always handy. ;)
