Ok, so I managed to snag an old Chenbro case that was lying around at my workplace....I saw it had some significant potential...

Here is the plan :
Cut holes for 2 x MCR320 and 1 x MCR220 - DONE!
Clean it all up, paint Hammered finish Black - Primed!
Assemble with all my parts...
-Parts in my Sig. Adding silverstone 3.5" USB/firewire/audio drive
-Waiting on my 6xZalman 120mm fans, Feser UV Green 1/2 tubing, as well as some Green UV cable sleeving kits, and some UV cathodes.

The plan is to get it all build and sized up...then measure out what I need:
I am going to be getting custom acrylic panels made up for the Top, Front, and sides. I want a solid or Thick translucent Black for the top and front. The sides will be clear. Basically will have holes cut for fan vents, as well as for the Optical drive and USB/firewire/audio and fan controller.

Pulled about 19K with my setup. 8GB RAM for some reason limits my OC, but its alright!

Still 19k with a X3210, that the bomb, great stuff

ALWAYS THE MORE RAM, THE HARDER IT IS TO GET The TIMINGS RIGHT.
OPPS, caps off...

Bloody hell is that all steel? How much does it weigh?

Cptn Vortex

Yup, all steel goodness! I had to take off the Castors it had.... Great case! I'd say somewhere about 30 pounds empty.....

That's not so bad then. What are you planning on doing next?

Well I have just done some more Priming, so I cant paint till tomorrow. It is a Hammered Black finish I got, Tremclad. Going to look pretty sweet. I got my Fans and my Feser tubing today, still waiting on my toggle switches, cable sleeving, and silverstone USB/firewire drive. Once I get all that, I will get everything installed. After that comes the measuring for the Acrylic panels. Once I get those, sending them to a CAD friend of mine, which will get the images done. Then off to the Plexy guys, who should do some lasercutting for me.... Woo!

Alright! New pics added! The paint went on very well. Too bad I was 1 can short! DOH. Oh well I got the case part done, although there is a ding and whatnot here and there that I want to fix up. I also only got half of my accessories painted (drive rails, 5.25"-3.5" adapters). Cant wait till I get more paint and more parts!

Looking good. I guess it's always a good idea to buy more than you need just in case ;).

that sure is one heavy case, lucky you have some wheels for it, and maybe you would want to add some aluminum billet handles too...

yeah best have extra can of spray paint handy, and some touch up marker pens...

Cptn Vortex

Yes, it is no MM...but what I have planned for it will be quite unique. I'm not sure if Handles would work, as I am going to be covering the top, front, and sides with Acrylic panels.

Since we're neighbors, I'll say that I've got an amazing acrylic guy if you've not already got someone in mind. Not only is he a total perfectionist but he's one of the most colorful characters I've ever met.

PM me if you want his info.

Heh, Awesome. Charles I'll be in Touch. CyberDruid here does some amazing work, and I might commision him for the Acrylic, but I still dont know where he lives...Local would be ideal!

As for an update, I got most things installed. As usual, I was 2 feet short of tubing, need another Res, need to make a custom PSU mount, and had to order 2 x 5.25-3.5" Silverstone Transfer Brackets..... But other than that, I am really happy with the look of it so far!! Will have pics later tonight!!

Woohoo. I love everything except the tubing Disruptfam mentioned in the wc gallery.

Acrylic panels will make this build pretty unique. Good job.
