My Corsair XMS2 DHX memory in the Abit IP35-E. Shot with a Canon Rebel XT at ISO 400, aperture F/8, shutter speed 0.6 seconds. I took this shot fully handheld :)
Resized in photoshop CS2.

*edit* Picture in post 3 below is better.

Try taking it at an angle, not straight on. A larger aperture as well (smaller number).

OK, how's this? :) ISO 400, F/5.6, 1/3 sec shutter speed, handheld. Again, PS2 used to resize.
I think I like this one better!

Nice, I like the contrast between the red and green LED's.

I like it, if I didn't know better I would be like "Ooo, is that some kind of cool ship/tank/gun ;) "

Thread title looked rather interesting until I read the last two words.
"...artistic shot of computer hardware.

And then... *gasp* I saw the LEDs...
:\

I'm sure you'll find something interesting and "artsy" to capture if you look further than inside your computer.

Haha I was bored last night and thought hey might as well play with the camera a little, and the PC was the most interesting subject in the apartment. Didn't think dirty dishes were all that interesting :p: Oh, and those LEDs are on the motherboard so they are there whether I like 'em or not. Frankly I would prefer the red LED to not be there but oh well :)

Actually, around the apartment there isn't much to take pictures of. Out the back is a parking lot, cell tower and water tower :/ Besides, this is XS, I thought this is the kind of thing computer nerds would like after all

yes 2nd pic is definately crisper and cleaner. and agreed nice contrast between the led colors.

try to take one from the opposite angle, with the red in the background and green in the forground.

i should have my Canon 40D this weekend ,, wish i had a similar setup i would do a comparison shot

The contrast in those pictures really makes them amazing.

Definitely like the second one better!
