I need a bracket made for my case, and I'm thinking about trying emachineshop.com. Does anyone have experience with this outfit?

Thanks in advance!

Yeah, I wonder what this place is like to deal with. Sure is some cool software they have. I'm a complete idiot with stuff like that and I whipped up this thing in no time just playing around (it's kind of fun actually).

Well I used their software but I ended up going with another outfit for the actual production. Custom Laser Cutting (http://www.customlasercutting.com) quoted me $149 for 2 of the following, cut from 1/3" black acrylic:

emachineshop wanted double that cost for just one of the same part.

As far as the software goes, I found their software lacking in all areas but ease of use. The material selection process is ridiculously complicated, almost to the point of being unusable. Their software brought my (normally fast) machine to its knees and crashed several times, and the 3D renderer had a very difficult time rendering complex patterns.

Save early, save often if you use this crap. It's nice that they allow exporting to .dxf format (standard AutoCad files), and it's fairly easy to use; certainly easier than any commercial CAD programs I've used previously. I believe if they improved their software and lowered their prices, this would be the outfit to beat. They still have a ways to go ...
