I believe Epox were to release a newer version of the KT333 something something A2 and A3+ with the higpoint 374 controller. I have not heard or seen hide nor hair of it. Maybe it will be designed for the KT400.

from what i heard they fixed the memory bandwidth problem so thoes that like to run at 3k sandra can w/o wpcredit tweaks. they also fixed the divider so its manual in operation now. from what i can see they moved the socket location and the caps so there is more room for bigger hsf/w.b.... as you can see in my avatar my swiftech w.b. has very little room between the block and thoes caps.....neporene will be fun...lol.

now if they would hurry and realese it i could spend my money :D

yup.... thats where the name came from. i have alot of respect for a company that still hand builds their cars. works of art on wheels (that i cant afford...lol)

still looking btw... found one on epox.org about the 8k5a2+... nothing on the top of the line 5+ tho (bangs head on desk to remember)

... as long as they give us 4x highpoint channels I'm sure I won't be dissappointed... no point releasing a board with HPT374 if it's not fully utilised... what I want to know is when we'll start seeing Raid5 on mobos...

Anyone who buys this board must be desperate. The nforce 2 boards look to smoke the kt333 and possibly the kt 400 chipsets. I wasn't impressed at all by the 8k3a+. Its funny this one claims to fix the memory badwidth issue. I haven't read that anywhere. I wonder if the agp tearing is fixed also along with the junky epox bios. They mine as well call this one revision B. I will definaltely pass and most likely not buy another epox for quite a while.

Desperate... desperate for what.. People who buy this probably just want an optimized KT333 chipset. Maybe they want Serial ATA and Epox's overclocking features. There are lots of reasons someone might want this board.

Also.... thought I'd mention. I found 4 more KT333 boards by Epox I've never seen before..... heh :)

EP-8K3AE (smaller in size, only 5 PCI, and no raid)

EP-8K3A2 (4 RAID! 2 IDE, 4 dimms too!)

EP-8K3AL (sounds like a Light version, no oc'ing things probably)

I doubt that mainstream resellers will carry all these different versions. Some of them are made for OEM's.

Well the 8K3AE is for sale. The 8K3A2 hasn't been officially released yet, and the L is probably for OEM correct.
