Hey everyone. Can someone advise me on the proper way to OC my Northwood? My multiplier is 17. I heard that lowering this multiplier and raising the system clock is the best way...is that true? My system clock is currently at 144MHZ.

17x144=2447.92 MHZ
System Bus: 575.98

The computer doesn't like it if i just raise the system clock up and try to run at 3GHZ...what's the best way to OC this baby up that high?

That's the only way on a P4

Yep yep, you're not going to be able to change your multiplier with a P4 unless you have an engineering sample, which I do not believe you do. You're stuck raising your bus speed only.
