Awhile back ago i saw this big old thing on tapping into peoples wireless internet. No No not what your thinking. This was 100% leagal, I guess by law they have set aside bandwith for crap like this.
Does this ring a bell in anyones head

I know some places, like coffee shops have free wireless....doubt that's what you mean though. You could cruise with your laptop and pringles can.:D

I know, i should set it up in my car and just keep track of the places I find.

Yeah....guys do that and there is a database somewhere? where all the open networks are listed. I had a proggie a while back that sniffed out peeps who left filesharing open...sniffed entire blocks of IPs...worked too. :D ShareSniffer..I think.
These places I do believe are called "hotspots?" many airports have them so you can connect wirelessly, truth be told any wireless netowkr you go by with your card you will connect to and hog bandwidth off.
