im in the same boat, but I dont see anything worth upgrading to quite yet. I'd hold off and just overclock the piss out of it.

yeah i have 8800gtx sli in my sig rig.

I'm talking about the 8800gt in my lan rig.

The 4850 owns both these cards And is cheaper than a 8800gt in aus!!!

Thats why i was thinking of swapping out the gt for the 4850 :)

hey man, i think you might aswel keep your 8800gt and OC it abit. No one wants to buy a 88gt right now, so you wont get much for it, and the 4850 is weaker than the 8800gt in SOME games, so you might see a little decrease if you play the right games.

PLus they said the 4850 is not a hot overclocker
if you want to UPgrade, upgrade to something better, like 4870 - gtx 260

I was offered $220aud for my gt

4850 = $226

But what you say is correct and the 4850 losed to the 8800gt in some games then i will keep it.Its just all the reviews i've read the 4850 beating 9800gtx 8800gtx and 8800gt in most games.

cheers

the 4850 is definitely faster than an 8800GT. if it will only cost you $6, i'd get it. nobody has hit the 4850's OC wall yet either, which is a really good thing.

i sold my 8800gt,

Currenty using a old 6600gt :)

After seeing what the 4870 can do i'm really leaning 2wards getting one.

opinions?

I always love getting new hardware, and if there close, what not go for it,
it has already proven that is is a good card.
what board do you have, can you upgrade to crossfire or SLI

Still happy with my 8800gt. Only game I play I need more performance is Crysis, but the results from the new cards aren't enough yet either, so back to waiting. :)

Would @ e8400 @ 4ghz be enough to release any bottleneck on the cards?
