Well I had so much fun building my last Test Bench that I thought I would take it to the next level (no pun intended). :D This is two complete computer systems, one watercooled and one air cooled. I am waiting on a 36" IDE cable to finish the top computer. I also have to clean up all the wiring. The watercooled unit is fully functional and Krunched all last night after the final bleeding. I plan on adding two nice power switches to both rigs and creating a mount for them and the LEDs. The boards are 15" x 20".

Thank you.
As stated I have yet to complete it, wiring is a work in progress. Plus this is just a dual Kruncher rig for me. Nothing fancy just functional. I got tired of two cases so I combined them.

You should try water cooling all the systems, stick a single 120mm rad every system or two with a pump at the bottom and top.
It would be worth a shot :p:

You sure do love your all thread dontcha, seeing you've used them in both builds, I happen to have a 5gallon bucket full of it at work just taking up space,, mmmmm ideas =)

Looks great by the way! keep up the bench tables

Whoa, thats a pretty awesome design there. Is there any sort of stability issues with it wobbling on top or are those crossbars doing their job.

Thank you.
It is rock solid. The braces on the back are for mounting rads but do add extra support. Each level is tightened down separately so there is no wobble.

its alive.wav (http://www.rosswalker.co.uk/movie_sounds/sounds_files_20080520_1013824/young_frankenstein/alive.wav)

same here then try this young frankenstien (http://www.rosswalker.co.uk/movie_sounds/young_frankenstein.htm) then click link its alive.wav

if were me i'd place rad on top of rack for heat rises
There is no problem with heat dissipation, plus bleeding is much easier. I have allowed for a second rad to be installed on the top for the upper board.

Very nice SIG! If I weren't so lazy, I would copy you :D I love those cutting boards BTW, the only ones we use in our house. Nice job d00d!

Thanks nik, please copy away if you like. Those Walmart cutting boards are really nice, the extra thickness makes this setup a tank.

And for anyone planning on building this rig, the 1" aluminum square stock came from Lowes. They have it in short and long lengths but the short is pricey. The larger size was less than $12. I also purchased the aluminum angle and flat bar from Lowes, they were cheaper than Home Depot on these items. But the rubber feet did come from Home Depot as Lowes did not carry them. The brackets for the fans to blow on the NB are 1.5" brass "L" brackets which cost less than the steel version, I just flattened them out to get the angle right. I used 1/4" allthread for this build and the bench is rock solid. I did use lock and flat washers between each section. The rubber for the base is just rubber roofing material that was left over from someone's roofing job. Oh, and I used a jig saw with a wood blade to cut the holes. A fine metal cutting blade just made the board re-melt from its heat.

One of the hardest things was getting enough MB standoffs to do this build but John at Jab-tech saved the day. (Thanks John!)

Do the aluminum tubes or the flat pieces come cut short or do you do that yourself? Also do the threaded rods come in different lengths?

I cut everything to length. The square tubing comes in three foot and if I remember correctly an eight foot piece. The flat bar was a three foot piece and the allthread comes in three and six foot pieces.

Very nice second rig! I like how you did your posts in both rigs, very innovative.

I may have to steal some of your ideas in my next rig. My rig process is currently stopped due to vacation.

I used a hacksaw. Getting the bottoms square is a biatch. :shakes:

OMG i love this! So wanna build one. Thinking of doing a dual loop with triple rads :). Was it really hard to cut the exact same length for the aluminium square tubes with a hacksaw?

That was one of the toughest parts of the build. A bandsaw sure would have been nice.

Very nice work!

It is so heavy now that another story would make it a PITA to move. :D

Now wheels might be an idea?
