Would you prefer to have a Qx9650 + a single GTX 280 or a Q9450 and GTX 280 SLI if you had a 24'' monitor?

He will play at 1920x1200 and GTX 280 scales really well at high resolutions..if he has the $$ so let he play with GTX 280 SLI :D

1) the gtx in sli will use 850W-1010W for just the grafix
2) sli needs an NV chipset and unless u get a 790i, your just getting a POS that wont OC well
3) sli ushualy dosnt help with micro shutter so u dont feel the fps increase
4) the 9450 will only oc to about 3.8 even with a good MB

if u get the intel chipset then u can get a stable oc, the single 280gtx and u will be good

yep, doesnt work.

just get a single card and the qx. OC the qx as much as possible. or instead of the qx, spend the difference on water.
