Well i really think that i fried my e8400 with 1.3 volts and 380fsb... temps were good with my TRUE/kaze setup.

First i did a small oc. I only raised the FSB to 365 and changed the divider so my ram would not oc. That brought me to 3.3 ghz and was the highest i could get it on stock volts and just raising the FSB.

Then i bumped the volts to 1.3 and the FSB to 380 hit save and reboots... Well i thought it was going to.

It gets stuck in an endless cycle of rebooting without showing anything on the screen. Fans speed up, turns off.

I'v tested the ram, videocard, and mobo with a p4, reset the bios everything i could think of so the last thing it could be is the cpu!.... correct?

I also forgot that it did the endless rebooting without showing on the screen at stock settings once but after about 5 reboots it booted. So i'm thinking maby i just got a dud chip.

specs are as followed.

e8400 w/ TRUE
gigabyte x38-ds4
2x 1gb g.skill hz
7600 gt
500w enermax psu

I highly doubt you fried your chip at 1.3v. For god sakes I think 1.2 is stock, .1 never hurt anything before...I ran mine at 1.45 for quite a while.

Reset your CMOS and it should be fine.

The multiplier has nothing to do with the ram speed. You mean you set up a divider or ran it unlinked at stock speeds?

My P965 DS3 used to do that. Yeah, start with a CMOS reset.

yes i did mean divider :P

I have already reset the bios thou. I'v taken the battery out the whole 9 yards but i will try again.

That still wouldn't explain the p4 booting right up.

Have you tried updating the bios?

I am about to do that right now after my mom gets off the p4 desktop.
