View Full Version : Electric noise in a HX520

I just buy the HX520 PSU and it's all ok, cables.. etc but when i run the pc it do a electric sound, a bit loudly, and i dont now what can be.. it isn't the fan, i try to stop stop it and the noise continues.

Mmm, now i cant hear anything but sometimes the "noise" appears

In some cases the noise will come from the motherboard coils or the video card. Can you isolate the sound?

If your PSU is making a noise, we will replace it for you.

what about slight crackling/ticking (by the fan) at idle? it's barely audible, but is that normal?

No, this sound is not normal. You may want to look into the rear of the PSU with a light and see if the fan sticker or any other obstruction is getting into the fan.
