My project for this summer is a custom made benching station. It will be an on/off project as I will be gone for a few weeks, then have camp and other activites.

The computer won't be extreme to you guys, but is extreme enough for my uses. Pictures won't be the best, but I hope you guys like it.

This will be the motherboard and GFX combo. Not the newest by any means, but I will make the best of it.

On a side note, here is the room I'm working in. The room which houses my old hobby.

These are pretty much the tools I have to use. I borrowed a decent chop saw from the guys putting in our new windows and was able to cut the aluminum you will see later.

This is my motherboard template. I will transfer this onto my cutting boards later on.

Just some of the parts I will be using. A used 3/8" NPT MCR220 and a Thermaltake AT3 GPU block. Other parts are a DDC1-9W with an Alphacool top, Micro Res, and the rest of my Thermaltake Bigwater SE kit.

I got a cool LED light with my order from Jab-Tech. These little gifts from orders are starting to get popular!

All of the watercooling blocks are mounted. The kit came with a backplate which doesn't work though

And finally, here is a semi-completed case!

I will mount the boards better when the time comes. That is just a temporary shot of how it will look like.

Those will be my switches and LEDs. I had the LEDs lying around from my old hobby, and I went to Radio Shack for those switches. I got the connectors for the switches at a computer store, and I got the motherboard speaker there too. The LEDs have no connecter, I just plan to heat shrink them on later.

Be careful with that thermaltake cpu block.

They have a nasty tendency of cracking and leaking...

Ask Darthbeavis he had something like 3 of them crack and leak on him.

Pictures resized. Sorry about the huge pictures, I will resize them before uploading next time.

May need to clear cookies to see new smaller pictures.

About the Thermaltake block, I've had this for half a year and it's been fine. I will probably have to get a new one anyway, as the barbs on those are too small, and I don't want to spend more money on this block for proper barbs.

I think I'll be switching over to R/C cooling then. Will try to scrap the Thermaltake block and make a mini-MOSFET block to cool my FET stack. If somebody could figure out how I could wrap a block around a 130 sized motor, it would be greatly appreciated. I may just turn these cars into shelf queens, as a MCP350 is already 2/3 the size of the whole car.

Have no fear! New blocks for the motherboard and CPU should be coming soon. If I told you what one of those blocks would be, you may bash me more so this will be a secret for now. :)

Looks great man.

Only thing I noticed that you may want to do is add a plastic/rubber foot of some kind in the center of the bottom plate for additional support since it is bending under the PSU's weight. Also make sure the motherboard tray wont also do that with all the weight/blocks on it, that would be really bad.

The only reason it was bending was because I was laying the motherboard and PSU on the bottom plate. Once I have made my mounting brackets for the plates, I shouldn't have that problem.

And to the R/C cooling, I see no difference using Thermaltake to anything else. Just going to use what I have left over.

Small update: Right now, I'm still cutting my brackets. I'm also seriously considering a new CPU waterblock because of the issues I'm having with my current one.

It's been taking so long since I haven't had the heart to finish. Also, the money is lacking, plus time.
