Idk if this would go under "liquid" or "vapor" cooling, cuz...it is both, so bear with me. I am making a waterchiller using a R12 1968 dehumidifier compressor and the cap tube is only 8inches long; I can't get it to reach far enough for the layout that I want to do. Plus I hear that people use like, 10 feet of cap tube, so, what is the story here!?! Should I like, chop it off, get a new tube, and while i'm at it charge it with like, R22 or Propane or something? What is the appropriate cap tube length for my situation? Someone said to use a TEV (what is that?) instead of a cap tube, can someone tell me what they meant?
Thanx in advance, just the fact that someone smarter than me read this is helping...somehow...i guess...i'll shut up now...:stick:
