I was putting together my new comp today and once i finished i tested it and the power came on fine, but it didn't post and it makes beeps every 2-3 secs. I've checked all the connections and stuff but can't figure it out. Btw i'm running Athlon Xp 1800+, Epox 8k3a,512mb 2100 mushkin ram, Leadtek GF4 ti 4200 64mb, 40gb maxtor hdd, a Thermalright ax-7 HSF w/ Sunon 50 cfm fan.

Are you getting a code on your LED display?

i think he meant the debug display on the mobo, but since you dont have the plus version, you dont have it... What brand of psu?

That board is known for having very tight dimm slots for your memory..worth a try to reseat it..pressing down hard, but not hard enough to crack your board...also might try removing all but cpu, ram and video card..use an old psi video card if you have one and see if it will post..also the top middle screw on the board may be grounding the board as there are circuts very close to that screw. Hope this helped.

I would say try to find an error code or whatever and look it up with epox. Also try another stick of ram if you can borrow one from someone.. bad ram is one of the biggest cause of non posting systems. Also.. take out everything that isnt necessary.. network cards, modems, sound cards, firewire cards.. etc.. And check over any jumpers to make sure they are right.
