Well after going through a few pairs of memory and finally finding a set that I'm gonna stick with, it's now time for me to update my loop and get the 3870's in there. Here is how it currently stands:

And here is what I received today, thanks to Nate. P for the pump and Debbie from Danger Den for cutting me a new side panel for my waterbox plus! The rad I already had from when I purchased the waterbox.

In the next few days once funds are available (I lost my card and they locked my bank account so no $$$ :( ) I will be picking up a couple Maze5 GPU blocks, switching out the Fesser Orange for Fesser Black and picking up a UN mount for the DDC pump. The final loop order will be as follows: DDC --> MC-TDX --> BIX 240 --> GPUS --> GTX 240

I will update as I get the parts, so far I'm still waiting for my debit card to get mailed to me so I can actually do some shopping

Not sure how long I would run a fan like that off a motherboard header... How many amps does it draw?

It's off of a Cosmos S, the customer didn't want it so I got it for free. It's been running on the mobo for a while now and no problems.

So alittle change in plans, I have a DD 3870X2 block on the way, big thanks to smee, as well as some misc parts from jabtech. Also placed a call to dangerden this afternoon and a clear acrylic top is being made for my block to replace the black one as well as some FesserOne Black UV fluid. My card should arrive sometime this week and once that's here I should be able to get to work on this and post up some progress pics. Stay tuned!

Just about everything is in now, 3870X2 is up and running, the pump has been cleaned and the block has been clened but there are a couple of small problems.

First problem, the block arrived like this: http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m193/rocerocket505/IMG_0995.jpg

So a replacement clear acrylic top is on order as well as my Fesser Black UV fluid. Also, the BIX240 was in pretty bad shape internally, i flushed it with boiling distilled about 7 or 8 times now and each time it still comes out dirty, with white flakes floating on top of the water, I dunno how many more times I need to do this to get it fully cleaned. I'm almost to the point where I wanna just get a new GTX240 instead of using this BIX i got used. Any ideas?

Anyone? Would it be worth trying to clean the used rad out or just get another one?

hum, ive never had a flux issue with rads, i just run hot water through it, then cycle some distill for a while drain and fill.

but there was that one time when i got some flux build up on the supreme, so i should take a look at my rads again lol

Well I ran the rad through a few times with some hot tap water and then rinsed it with boiling distilled and it seems like most of the crap in there got cleaned out and also my block top arrived today so I thought hey might as well finish it up so I did!

One thing I am worried about is the pump, it gets pretty hot and I've heard of them dying b/c of heat issues, so I took it out of the bracket and it's lying on the petra's gel with a 60mm fan blowing on it. I want a permenant solution though, so what would u guys suggest I do?

Take it off the petras gell now.. that's an order.. That stuff is great for the bottom of a d5 mount, but it absorbs heat from ddc's. The mount would be better than the gell.

Get the Absolute Bracket. it keeps the botom of the pump from being covered.

no no no you misunderstood, the pump is sideways, as in the bottom is facing the back of the case, the outlet it pointing upwards. The pump is resting sideways on the gel, and the bottom of the pump has a 60mm fan blowing on it, I would like to use my xspc mount but I'm afraid it'll kill my pump

Ah i remember seeing that mod around but forgot the thread name, how imperative is it to have active cooling on this sucker?
