so i just bought a pair of these a few weeks ago for a total of 8GB
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145194
i was really hoping for powerchips but im pretty sure these are using microns
theyre version 1.1 and can only reach 500mhz at 5-5-5-12, anything above that and windows doesnt even load
so what chip are used in these?

I was thinking I also got Micron because mine were Rev 1.1 too. For $75 from Frys, I'm still not complaining about PSC.

Wait a minute...these don't have PSC that Corsair is talking about? I'm confused now, who to trust?

I have the same exact kit and really would like to know what chips I have in mine. There is no v4.x unless you have the C5 model (Which you didn't link to), but if it does clock better, I guess the C5 is the way to go.

I also have the v1.1 BUT mine are CM2X2048-8500C5D (matched pair for total 4GB) - as far as I can tell they must be PSC (Powerchips?) as they are 2.1v and 5-5-5-15.
