Is there currently anything available for mounting a PA 120.3 (or any rad of the PA series) in the drive bay section of a case? My rad has been holding up fine for a while now with the use of zip ties, but I'll be tearing my loop apart soon to add the GPU into it and was hoping there's a better way of mounting the rad while I have everything taken apart.

I personally have not seen anything but there may be something, I would custom make something myself.

i havent seen any of those myself. I think your best bet would be to make some retention plates yourself. 2on each side (top and bottom.) should do the trick. Just take good measurements and begin^^ That way you can also have them make your PA removable by sliding it out...

How about these. I think they would work in drive bays. I think I have seen some builds using these.

i've used those 90 deg aluminium brackets before .. it fits tightly .. but when it comes to the fans' vib ... it's terrible .. it shook the table with just 2 fans ... sweat;

and the humming sound ... zip ties is the best bet imho

Texas (Houston in particular) has one big thing going for it - high salaries (oil industry) and low cost of living. :D

+1 :up:
I used those for a short while in my old Centurion5 build, first with a BIP and later a PA120.1. I'd imagine they work great in a case without "tool less design", they were a pain in my C5.

I think too much of the case's warm air would be circulated throught he rad. It would hurt some performance.

I do like these better than the 343B brackets I have, I'm tempted......GAH! why don't I have enough money for all this crap? :brick:

Not as much as you would think...it's pretty isolated by the drive bay sheet metal so not much warm air gets in there and with a fan set to pull on the rad, almost all the air the rad gets is from outside.

Ok, that is good to know. Do you put some type of mesh 5 1/4" drive bay covers to allow the colder outside air in?

The CM C5 has mesh bay covers with "poor" filters, worked out nicely.
