Is my ram Fubared?

Hey guys..

Im running 2gig of the ram in my sig below.

never had a problem till yesterday

Ram has been clocked at 1142mmhz 5-5-5-12 timings with 2.16V.

Past 2-3 days. every time i turn PC on it gives me a ram error on the little ROG asus LCD. So i switch it off and 10 seconds later try again. bam it works fine.
Done this 10+ times now.

So is my ram stuff and i should rma it?

i doubt you can RMA it because it isn't overclocking like it used to. mess around with your settings. if the RAM fails at default speed and timings, then you can RMA it.

everything is back at all default settings. still does it. i just can understand why it works after the 1st time.

you can RMA it and cross your fingers. i had a similar problem to that once and it was caused by my motherboard, not the RAM. is there a BIOS update available to help you do some more testing before going through all the trouble of an RMA?

ill give that a go. it is my 2nd maximus. and if this rig goes down i have nothing.
