I was a huge raptor supporter for the longest time till i got sick of the noise. I had 2 74gb 8mb cache raptors in RAID 0. Should be comparable if not slightly better than a single 150. I just downgraded to a single one of the new 640gb 7200s and it rocks. So quiet and I don't even notice a difference in performance. If you could swing two of these in RAID, that's your best bet. If not, just get 1.

the 8MB raptors are known to be loud. The alter 16MB versions were pretty silent. My 7200.10 Seagates and diamondmax10 Maxtor made more noise then my 74GB 16MB raptor.
but id go with the 2 F1s they will be faster in reads and writes then the raptor and will have twice the capacity

don't listen to what people say about noise. Raptors are pretty quiet. Mount them with rubber washes, or get an antec case(as a lot of them come with rubber mounts). Problem Solved. I have some fans that make more noise than my raptors. Overall full seek doesn't happen that much and unless you are striving for a dead silent pc yeah, dont worry about it.
However personally i'd say go for the 2 samsungs. Try and get the best deal you can for the most storage. Nowadays i find raptors don't compete quite as much. If they made them 15,000 rpm like SAS drives i would be impressed but not now. When drives were expensive per gb and not quite so good.
