Understand the restrictions of 90 degree fittings which are in abundance. Would like to use 45 degree to free up some interior case room. Are there any sources for metal 45 degree barbs (other that copper ones at hardware stores)? Thanks!

(Could not change spelling error in title?)

I've always wondered why they don't have 45 degree fittings.
Twisted, thats 90 deg lol, plus if I'm not correct, those are g1/8 threads.

I was trying out Martin's flow rate program and was surpised by the results when I started adding 90degree elbows into my mock loop.

I plugged in these parts:
7ft 1/2" ID tube
D-tek V2+ quad nozzle
EK NB block
Feser 360 rad
swiftech 355 + xspc (non-res) top.
one reservoir.

without elbows, flow = 1.86GPM

Then I added 1-4 of the copper, delrin and nylon elbows, and got the following GPMs:

Copper..(1)1.86.. (2)1.85..(3)1.84...(4)1.83
Delrin....(1)1.84...(2)1.81..(3)1.78...(4)1.76
Nylon....(1)1.82....(2)1.77..(3)1.73...(4)1.70

Smaller diff than I expected.

well, disrupt had a thread on bitspower for a higher thingy.

In it, i was ranting about how its just an ugly extension and they should make a 45 degree.

Xilikon can vouch for me. On this statement :P

I think someone at bitspower was reading it and figured a 45 degree is a good idea. Couple hours later, BAM! vincent leaks a CAD drawing of it.

So bitspower has a cad drawing of a 45 degree G1/4 fitting in plan. When they intend to release it, i have no clue, when the retailers get it, i have even less of a clue.

But bits power will have it soon, and i as well as many others are anxiously waiting it.

No, that IS a 45 degree elbow, 1/4" female pipe thread by 1/4" male pipe thread. :)
