View Full Version : DFI LT X38 wont boot
help....Im new to this board, I just connected everything on the motherboard, both lights on the board are yellow, the thing is that when I press the power button it only flashes and doesnt turn on E8400, Crucial tracers 6400 and 8800 gts, all the jumpers are on default on the board whats happening??

Have you tried just Mobo, CPU, RAM, Vid Card out of the case on a cardboard box to see if it will POST? Could be shorting on something.
I have no post code, it only turns on for like less than a second, yes I did already test mobo with those components and same, when it turns on I think it has an 88 code but not shure since it doent turn on all the way
I swiped my E8400 for my E6600 and it works perfectly, I guess the bios needs a flash for the penryn thnx guys :D

Don't suppose you have another PSU to test? Sorry if this seems basic... You haven't really gone into detail as to what you have tried.

let us know how you fare once you flash the bios to a later one whether it posts properly or not.
yes ill do that! do u guys know where to get a copy of the RAID drivers that come in the floppy??? because it seems that the pc formated the floppy on reboot and now I cant install any raid :(

DL from DFI site. it takes forever but it is worth it. site is down or i would link it, I'm getting java errors like mad there.
I cant get in DFI's websitee!! :mad: it freezes firefox :confused:
Edit: got in, lol noob question there are 2 one is intel_matrix.zip and the other is ICH9R_RAID_fpy.zip which one :P
