I see them in Japanese Overclocks sometimes on old P3's.

I want one for a ver different idea.
experiment really.
thats all I can say for now ;)

but anyone know where I can get a massive heatsink?
like 1 and a half feet square?

doesn't matter about it being made of aluminum or anything, or how deep the fins go, just that it's BIIIIIG.

:D

You mean like an industrial grade heatsink? Try contacting an electronics store. I know a few UK sites that do industrial grade heatsinks like RS but they wont do anything quite that big.

Try a Google search on industrial grade heatsinks maybe.

Sorry for not getting back sooner......

Well, they're disappointingly "small" compared to what you want. They're about 10" x 5" x 5" give or take 1/2", thick base, all aluminum. Not even close to what you want.

I think that alpha has some industrial heatsinks that are that big.

I know this may be too late, but I just had a bit of an idea. You could just use a nicely sized radiator, fill the tube with water with something to keep out the bacteria. and then use a waterblock and some copper tubing, and then just seal the entire thing off. Probably not really what you had in mind though.
