Thanks Oppainter,I took your advice and got an IT7 and it truely is superb,Still testing but here is a couple of teasers.
Check out the memory bandwidth :D
http://homepage.ntlworld.com/ad.leach/mem243.JPG

And here is the cpuid at over 3.1gig 1.7v.
http://homepage.ntlworld.com/ad.leach/cpuid3gig.JPG

Did try for ddr500, it will boot but errors in windows.Still this is very nice.;)

The northbridge gets very hot and the ram did show some errors at this fsb but seems good at 181/241 so I'll burn in for a while here.
The cpu is a stormer and would do this speed easy air cooled at the same volts, I have got a feeling I may see 200fsb with this puppy;)

PiLsY, you have got to get a 2.26b m8, they are the business, with a prometeia they are unstopable.

Tony,

Try running for max cpu speed with tight memory timings. Done some testing today and equalled my 173 / 233 min enhance score running 181 / max timings (still at 16x multi). If you can reach about 190 you should be seeing some very nice results :).

If anything your scoring has somewhat persuaded me to go for a 2.4. My memory is nowhere near as capable as yours so im maxing out at 173/230mhz min timings (or about 195 max). Unless you reckon a 2.26 at 195mhz is feasible then I think id be better served with a higher multi @ 173mhz.

No m8, 2.26b all the way, try some of this winbond its not to bad and still cheap at the mo.I have posted at 195fsb:eek: but didn't have the guts to go for windows, 200fsb is on the cards though;) I just have to pluck up the courage.Pack date was 02 july so it must have just got to the uk.

I must take them grabs down ;) they have been there for a while. The bios maxes out at 3.2v but would be moddable but I do feel it would fry the ram

Whered you get the windbond m8? Ive got a stick here somewhere (thrown away). Wouldnt even do 162mhz @ min timings. And its the second stick - the first maxed at 164 so I RMAd it thinking I got a gash stick.

This samsung did 193ish stable at max timings in my KR7a, so 200 should be on the cards on the IT7. Maybe a little less.

that's an amazing score you got there. Congrats.
Damn', seems like everybody likes the IT7.
bigtoe :
can you give some specs on the FPO/BATCH of the cpu? I've seen some 07/02/02 pack dates 2.26 in a store this week. Think they were L214Bxxx
Is that with WC?

Tony

Spot on there m8,currently at just over 3gig at 1.62v on load.It is vidpinned to 1.7v to ensure no cold boot but then set down in bios. Will test here then lower to 1.6v if all is well.
These cpu's are stunning!!:D

Yes that is the ram, winbond do produce their own sticks which may be better but mine was major on third but it still clocks quite well.

just does 2,2,7,2 enhance on at 200fsb 2.9v but not much higher. Now runs 240 fsb at 2.5,3,3,7,enhance off no problem at 2.9v sisce I actively cooled the northbridge, so I may push a little further. Also as you clock the ram higher the rams efficiency goes up and im at 95% right now which is real nice.

When I have finished testing I will have a look for you but at the moment there are fans in the way so I can't see the number. It is from the sams manufacturer that you can get the 6n sticks from as I noticed you have posted a picture of this ram.

bigtoe,

Very nice setup:)
I love this IT7, I have mine on stock air right now for some Peace and Quite and I have to say this setup is ecxellent.

A little note:
My Mushkin 3000 does 198 max timings and no higher, and it isn't 100% stable at that.
Cas2, 225 using 2.98volts.

Tony

It will probably be way overpriced as all Corsair sticks are for the first month or two.If you can find winbond ddr400 major on 1st this is the memory to have as it apparantly will run 2,2,2,7.1t at 2.6v at 200fsb and is the ram that SiS and Via send with their sample boards.

Its only a few weeks hopefully till samsung release their ddr400 and with luck the cas2 version will be a super clocker.

Hey OPP what is wrong with my sy or RAM its weird as you say I get the same stable speed with Samsung PC2100 that means 7.5ns folks!!!! 198mhz max timings the lot... but I cant get over 200mhz with relaxed timming or none whatever. I dont get it... I should be doin 220mhz not at full timings but at least the FSB is there:)

I use the same voltage BTW...

As we're on the topic of ram in this thread, thought I'd bring up the Corsair XMS 3200 CL2 ram. What's the skinny on this stuff? I'm not sure if it's even hit the stores yet, but thought I'd ask cus I saw the news release.

I like their memory on Via boards but the PC3200 is a complete no go on the IT7. Thier PC3000 is up to 226Mhz on my system but it's not as good as Sammy PC2700 yet which does 237.

I'm trying to sneak up on bigtoe while he's not looking. ;)
