Kx7-333r ?

I got a strange problem I just built my son a 1.4T-b on KX7333R mobo, with everthing at default about every 3-4 boots it will go to post enter post and then hit a black screen I can reboot and enter cmos and check all settings etc. hit F10 exit and bingo black again ...raid disabled, pc2700 xtreame 2 sticks 256 gf3 classic xp pro...........also when it does go into windows xp shows no errors or safemode etc...original unflashed 6.00PG bios 4/22/02 ideas?

First thing to check is the yellow cmos jumper(bios reset). They tend to be loose fitting and not always making adequate pin contact. Swap it out for standard black jumper that fits tight and evaluate it from there. I experienced the exact same problems when I purchased my first KX7 several months ago.
